• Administrate and execute clinic operational objectives for a hospital based outpatient department• Oversee all activities related to clinic management, including general operations, fiscal management, program development, and strategic planning• Optimize the management of staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. • Provide direction and supervision of all 60 nursing personnel for the entire 92-bed hospital overnight in a manner similar to a house supervisor• Review and evaluate yearly work performance for 25 nursing department staff and counsel any night shift employee according to established disciplinary action policies• Collaborate with the nursing team to assess and allocate staff resources on a daily basis, based on patient needs, utilizing the acuity system embedded within the EHR and Kronos• Coordinate nursing care activities in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team to facilitate achievement of overall program goals• Participate in the development and implementation of clinically-based goals and objectives through annual continuous quality improvement (CQI) projects and quality committees, such as CAUTI reduction, fall reduction, and increased patient education• Conduct monthly chart audits for quality-sensitive indicators and perform emergency procedure drills, coaching staff on best practices in a supportive manner• Respond to emergency rapid response and Code Blue calls, assigning team roles and actively managing the response as the Team Leader of the Emergency Response Team• Involvement with the EHR/EMR search committee, conducting a needs assessment, participating in both on-site and off-site clinical visits and discussing findings within the committee• Fulfill Nursing Education department goals for night shift, including the education of staff on evidence-based policies and procedures, and facilitating mock scenarios utilizing simulation mannequins and software• Co-Investigator of the research study “Bedside reporting, does it make a difference?” Involvement with consenting, education, and implementation of bedside reporting on a unit of the hospital• Bedside Reporting Committee leader, spearheading a nurse-driven committee to assist with the roll-out and implementation of bedside report house-wide

• Care for a primary team of patients with various levels of injury on a traumatic brain injury unit in a nightshift setting• Work with interdisciplinary teams consisting of nurses, therapists, physicians, nutritionist, case managers, and neuropsychologists • Administer medications, assessed patient conditions, and communicate issues in a timely manner• Provide education and promote independence by establishing patient care goals• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional support to patients and their families

• Supervise and assist nurses and techs on an acquired brain injury unit• Ensure the unit runs efficiently and meet standards and regulations• Create staff assignments• Manage admissions, discharges, and transfers• Demonstrate flexibility by serving in the charge nurse role on an as-needed basis

• Care for a primary team of patients on an acquired brain injury unit in a dayshift setting• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and attended weekly conferences to discuss patient goals and outcomes• Ability to float and work on other units, such as spinal cord injury, medical-surgical, and intensive care unit• Successfully oriented and trained (5) new graduate nurses and served as a preceptor to nursing students each year• Involvement with education and implementation of a new electronic medical record
