I am a global and maritime security professional with more than 30 years experience advising key leaders, overseeing embassy security programs, and managing embassy security teams in highly complex, fluid, and multicultural security environments. I have been assigned to four U.S. Embassies (Tunisia, Kenya, Vietnam, and Iraq) and deployed to over eighty countries in Europe, Africa, Middle east, Asia, and Central/South America. I have provided a safe environment for U.S. Embassies to conduct U.S. foreign policy. I have served as a security team member to provide counter-terrorism training, executive protection, and augment security programs at U.S. Missions in countries that were rated high or critical threat for terrorism and/or crime and experiencing fluid security situations. I have provided protection to foreign missions, embassies and consulates within several major cities of the United States. I am a certified DSS Regional Security Officer, Construction Security Manager, Counter Threat Instructor, and Criminal Investigator. As a Port Security Specialist for the United States Coast Guard, I led port security teams that provided security for critical maritime infrastructure throughout the east coast of the United States, trained U.S. Coast Guard units in force protection and CBRNE Defense, trained foreign police units in force protection that provided security for U.S. Naval and Coast Guard assets, and conducted port physical security/vulnerability/threat assessments of foreign and domestic ports for maritime asset protection and supply chain continuity. I now inspect maritime facilities and containers to ensure they meet compliance with U.S. Federal regulations and IMO standards.
