Employed as a Provincial Manager for Alberta Health Services under their Air Ambulance Operations division, I managed day-to-day operations for air transport activity (FW & RW), logistics and coordination in Alberta. I was responsible for quality & safety to include risk management, investigations and briefing notes to our executive teams. This role encompassed a host of transformational leadership requirements, whether through contract management, direct provider communication, training or relationship management with external service providers. Business development and risk management were key roles to redesigning operations for sustainability and safety for patients, pilots and practitioners alike.

Advanced Life Support Paramedic (Crew Chief) working in urban Calgary for several years was a great experience. I excelled in leadership development by first moving into a casual dispatcher role, followed by becoming a Field Trainer, Flight Paramedic, then as an Acting Operations Superintendent. A sample of my other accomplishments includes being selected (out of 400) to mentor students and steward new recruits on behalf of Calgary EMS.
