Recommendations and security strategies were delivered through remote monitoring applications and software to fortify defenses against threats.• The backup Information Security Officer (ISO) to support the Information Security Officer (ISO) for the Virginia Lottery.• Performed monthly vulnerability scans on both internal and public-facing network devices, utilizing a range of vulnerability platforms such as Tenable, Rapid7, or the MS Vulnerability Platform. While collaborating with the Network Center to identify and address vulnerabilities and security issues, thereby establishing baseline configurations for network devices.• Maintained strict adherence to IT security best practices and compliance requirements mandated by the Commonwealth of Virginia, MUSL (multi-state gaming), Internal audit, and other regulatory bodies. • Demonstrated exceptional capacity to excel independently, lead teams, work collaboratively, and thrive in high-pressure environments.• Conducted investigations into potentially malicious activity, leveraging various Microsoft Platforms, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools (McAfee & Azure), and other applications.
