As a Principal and Program/Project Manager, I managed, led and/or provided technical support to energy, water resource and restoration projects, including those for commercial clients, federal, state and municipal agencies, and non-governmental organizations. I planned and implemented permitting and feasibility studies, monitoring programs, and sampling protocols, developing rigorous and defensible protocols when none exist. I acted as an agency liaison and conducted interagency consultations as part of satisfying requirements under NEPA and state environmental regulations and laws in support of both project agency scoping and multiagency and/or interdisciplinary project teams. I oversaw large scale, long term and often complex and unconventional projects and managed projects within budget constraints, ensured on-time completion and provided QA/QC oversight to ensure high quality and legally defensible products.

As the Sector Leader for Ecology and Environment Inc.’s Water Resources business development unit, I developed and led corporate-related business development initiatives to expand and diversify the company’s environmental consulting client base in the water resource sector. I facilitated business development activities, prioritized potential opportunities and shaped and led business strategy and tactical plans to help focus the efforts of other business development and technical professionals. I interacted with and provided strategy to proposal teams to ensure client needs were met and potential business development opportunities were realized. I managed client relationships and generated business opportunities through existing professional networks, previous client impact, and subject matter expertise as well through membership and active participation in industry functions, speaking opportunities at relevant conferences, and networking with industry leaders.As a technical business development lead, my project experience included watershed planning and feasibility studies; wetland and estuarine restoration; stormwater and flood protection evaluations; ground, surface and aquifer characterizations; environmental impact assessment; water quality monitoring and assessment and environmental permitting and compliance. My water resource experience spans work for water management districts and flood control agencies, USACE, utility companies, private energy developers, and various state and municipal government agencies.

As Operations Manager, I managed technical operations of E&E’s Salt Lake City regional consulting office with a primary focus on renewable and conventional energy development projects. I was responsible for providing strategic leadership to project and financial performance, generating business, managing client relationships, and strengthening the E&E brand in the Western US. After taking over as Operations Manager in 2014, I grew the office from four to 11 multidisciplinary professionals, expanded the office’s local and regional client base and diversified the office’s project portfolio to include energy development, water resources and restoration projects for commercial clients as well as federal, state and local agencies. I was responsible for staff utilization, professional development and business development activities as well mentoring junior staff and providing Principal level QA/QC of client deliverables, scopes of work and proposals. I oversaw technical professionals and project managers to ensure that client needs were represented and met.
