I am an insolvency and commercial litigation barrister practising from Radcliffe Chambers in London, with particular expertise in the fields of restructuring and insolvency, company (including s.994 petitions) and commercial dispute resolution. I have a wealth of trial experience (including cross-examination of experts) and considerable expertise in applications for interim relief, including freezing orders and injunctions. I am called to the Bar of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, British Virgin Islands.I am experienced in dealing with cross-border issues in commercial and insolvency litigation. I recently appeared in the Privy Council on an appeal from the Eastern Caribbean CA (BVI) concerning the interaction of arbitration and insolvency law. I have previously appeared in the Gibraltar Court of Appeal and been involved in applications for recognition of Hong Kong bankruptcies and a British Virgin Island liquidation. I have also successfully acted for an African oil company in an ICC Arbitration. I have been recognised as a leader in my fields of expertise by both Chambers UK Bar and The Legal 500 UK Bar. I also sit part-time as a Deputy High Court Judge (Chancery) and as a Recorder (County Court) and find this provides me with valuable insight into how judges approach cases and witness evidence.
