CeoFirst Look Marketing Corp. 2004 - PresentSherman OaksFLMC is a producing, consulting and development corporation dedicated to working with story tellers and marketers to bring their vision or product to life. Acting as producer and/or Line Producer our objective is to provide high production values at a cost effective budget and then help position the production from origin through post. As Direct Response Television consultants, writers and producers our purpose is to help marketers make the right decisions when considering DRTV as a viable means to market their products. DRTV, especially in today’s environment, takes expertise and substantial financial investment to get a product market ready and then create an effective DRTV campaign. However, if the market for your product is correctly researched and defined and proper margins and metrics can be attained within the product’s pricing structure and you have developed a unique selling proposition (USP) your chance to succeed will be vastly improved.A DRTV marketing campaign is actually your product’s store front to the public. But before you can build the store, you need to understand each essential component of its foundation. FLMC has twenty years of experience and relationships in these essential sectors. These are the areas you will need to be familiar with before you commit to developing a DRTV campaign. Our experience will help you attain your objectives and manage your resources so you spend only what you need to successfully bring your product to market. You do not have to spend a fortune to discover if the market wants your product. But if you did everything properly and the phones start ringing and your product’s website is on fire, you are one of the few who has understood and mastered what it takes to mount a successful DRTV campaign. Clients include: GoDaddy.com, Guthy-Renker Corp, Marketing Architects, Ronco Corp. Cogolink LLC, Vhound LLC, Inter Image Productions, Inc. and Inter Media Advertising, Inc. -

President & FounderSolid Brass Productions, Inc Oct 1985 - Jan 2000Santa Monica, CaSolid Brass Productions was a production determined to change the standards of DRTV. We believed that creative and production values equal to broadcast quality were essential for Infomercial programming to stand out in the expanding Infomercial market.SBP shattered the Infomercial pricing barrier when “Co$$man’s Secrets” airs with a $400.00 price tag! E. Joseph Cossman was a legendary teacher dedicated to showing ordinary people how they could change their lives. His objective was simple; show people how to find a product, how to negotiate for the exclusive rights to it, and then bring it to market in such a way that every time that product was sold a piece of the profit came back to them. Cossman’s marketing course was not some mumbo-jumbo get rich quick real estate scheme. His Co$$man’s Secrets was in fact a master’s course in all aspects of marketing that he’d carefully documented during his many years of successfully finding and selling products around the world. Co$$man’s Secrets would require production values far beyond anything ever seen before on television. Second, the content and creative would have to be so specific, clear and inviting to get people to pay $400.00 for it sight-unseen. The first year 45,000 people paid the $400!Our next production was Psycho-Cybernetics, a classic self-help book written by Maxwell Maltz in 1960. Maltz specified techniques to develop a positive inner self as a means of developing a positive outer self to help people reach their goals. This Infomercial was not as successful as our first, and only generated $7,000,000, but it was a lesson in how hard it is to sell something when the creator is in the grave.Next was the "See and Hear Piano Series" with George Maladin, which grossed over $19 million its first year. George Maladin is a wonderfully strange anomaly. He is a pastor in a church in San Diego who taught piano as an aside. George and his natural being as a man of the people made it all work.

President, CeoWorld Wide Media Group Jan 1986 - Jan 1990In 1985 Ronald Reagan deregulated commercial practices in an effort to save the developing Cable Industry. The guidelines for minimal amounts of non-entertainment programming were abolished and the FCC guidelines on how much advertising can be carried per hour are eliminated. (http://www.pbs.org/now/politics/mediatimeline.html) In 1985 media service companies were proficient at placing short-form, but had no experience with Infomercial programming. Buying long-form then was a crap-shoot. No standards, no market values, no tracking and each outlet had to be dealt with individually. We realized that what we needed was to build our own media division to buy and manage air time purchases for our own productions. World Wide Media Group was founded.Once WWMG was set up I contacted Katie Williams and Marilyn Carr; media professionals who had been with Ed Beckley and Tim Hawthorne in Iowa and brought them to California. Soon, our innovative buying practices were succeeding reducing airtime costs by almost 35%. We were so successful, in fact, that Bill Guthy and Greg Renker came to us with their first Tony Robbins show and they became WWMG’s first out of house media clients.WWMG developed the first computer-tracking software for national telemarketing corporations that enabled overnight downloads of sales data that facilitated next day drop shipping and customer service follow-up. This activity alone reduced returns levels to under 4%.In 1990 I sold WWMG. The new owners changed the name to Mercury Media. Mercury Media is extremely successful and annually books over $500 million in media placement.

This Infomercial grossed over $12 million in less than six months. The key to this was offering the first “video” seminar to the public. Prior to this, such products were only offered in audiocassette format. Conceived and produced the first video product of a live two-day seminar, "How to Become Financially Independent through Real Estate Investing" for the Lowry Group.
