I developed an end-to-end solution called MyResearchDepartment.com where clients could manage survey projects, create surveys, mail respondents and view and distribute live reports and crosstabs. MyResearchDepartment.com processed nearly two million survey completions during its life cycle. I also worked with clients to develop custom software solutions, always with a concentration of market research technology. Past custom clients have included VF Jeans, C3, WPP, Deloitte, Shell, Scarborough Research, Readers Digest among other firms.In 2008 I began Node Research as a sister company to utilize Quantafire’s software to focus exclusively on managing custom panels and selling wholesale sample/respondent access. Node provided all the software, services and sampling for a partnership with Weekly Reader on a new Teen/Tween full service market research company. Weekly Reader Research generated over $1.5M in revenue during its first year of operation. This company had tremendous margins considering the revenue it generated required only two full time employees: a director and sales person. This was possible because Node Research provide the entire outsourced solution as part of its existing operations.Node Research provided sample/respondent access to almost every well-known Market Research firm in the industry (SSI, Ipsos, Reed Business, GMI, Federated) on a daily basis. Node Research actively managed up to over fifty live sample projects per day, Monday through Sunday, 9am-9pm. Since 2008, while both private companies, Node Research’s combined yearly revenues approached $800K and had employed up six employees and consultants.

I was tasked with developing a web based n-tier CRM reporting and query package used by several Fortune 500 companies including nearly every major brokerage firm. This package utilized a custom web and OLAP server written in VB/C++. I was also managing data-mining projects for clients, including analysis of system requirements, data review, data modeling, file construction and automation. I was responsible for hiring, training, scheduling and reviewing a technical staff. I was also supervising SQL Server DBAs for all client and company internal databases. I was responsible for the company network including evaluation and purchase of all hardware and software, configuration, and security as it related to deployment of software to clients.

I developed a system to allow external corporate clients such as AOL, IBM and American Express to dynamically create, administer, collect and analyze consumer surveys over the Internet. I also provided statistical analysis of survey data utilizing such techniques as Cluster Analysis/SOM for segmentation, Factor Analysis for product positioning and other traditional multivariate techniques for project analysis and reporting.
