I have enjoyed and gained extensive experience during my 20 years employment within the commercial landscaping and sports contracting sectors. My recent employment experience has seen me tendering and winning several landscape projects up to £2.2m in value along with the successful delivery of these projects on site. Prior to this role I was employed by a major landscape contractor in a range of roles including 8 years at Board level. These demanding roles have provided me with significant and invaluable experience in all aspects of senior business management and the wide sphere of commercial landscape contracting.My senior management experience includes overseeing the accounts function including negotiating finance arrangements, development and implementation of HR procedures, management of business development strategy and resource, health and safety management, development of business systems and procedures to improve efficiency often with IT based solutions, staff recruitment and retention and exploration of new business opportunities..In the project delivery realm my substantial commercial experience includes estimating and contract negotiation/formation, construction phase quantity surveying and final account dispute resolution. My contract management experience includes delivering significant value schemes £1m+ in demanding environments encompassing hard landscaping and groundworks, soft landscaping and synthetic and natural sports facilities.
