Management of the Mobile Radio Product Line encapsulating all tiers of the Public Safety and Professional Communications (PSPC) division’s vehicular mounted communications. Champion the development and launch of the next generation XL-Mobile radio family which provides converged communications between land mobile radio (LMR) and long term evolution (LTE) networks. Overall responsibility for mobile products including M5300, XG-25M, XG-75M and XG-100M radio systems, the CS-7000 desktop control station and VRS-7000 family of vehicular repeater solutions.

Embedded and Applications software development on multiple products and projects. • Develop embedded software for multi-band tactical radio platform. Included requirement specification, software architecture design, implementation and verification following division-wide CMMI certified engineering practices. • Technical Lead and supervisor for a team of 4 engineers implementing telephony capability in the multi-band radio through integration with the company's telephony/IP router product. Activities included engineering development tasks, cost and schedule planning and oversight, problem and risk management. Also included technical and career mentoring, generation and evaluation of job expectations, salary planning and targeted selection for recruiting. • Integrated a dead reckoning module into a multi-band handheld radio and evaluated product viability for field use. Activities included technical research, product identification and supplier negotiation. • Initiated radio controlled improvised explosive device threat defeat research which consisted of the investigation on how specific threats operate and methods to defeat them. Subsequently involved in the preliminary design and prototyping of a RF jamming prototype device, which included use case analysis, system architecture design, embedded software design and design of external application software. Senior member of prototype development team, focusing on DSP design and implementation. • Requirements definition for jamming system and embedded software and application software for a commercial jamming product. Prototype development of the Configuration, Planning and Management Application for the platform. Specified and completed GUI prototype on Microsoft Windows using Microsoft Visual C++. • Joined the Strategic Growth Initiatives team, to investigate the business opportunities for mobile application development in both the DoD and Public Safety domains.
