About John M. Snee

In January, 2010 I began working in telecommunications after moving back to the US from Mexico. My first opportunities in this field came as an Installation Technician with Atlas Technology Solutions. At Atlas I learned how to install and turn up Optical Transport Networks.Since then, I have taken on new challenges as a Customer Support Engineer at Cyan Inc, and later at Ciena Inc as a Specialist for the Advanced Tech. Support team of their Blue Planet division. The unique work environment at Cyan provided me the opportunity to work with and learn from not only the most experienced members of the Customer Service team, but also the teams that design and develop the software and hardware. Those opportunities were extended after Ciena's acquisition of Cyan, when I joined the Blue Planet Advanced Tech Support team.After spending three years with Ciena, an opportunity to work with another startup in Petaluma (Carium) presented itself and I went for it! At Carium I have the pleasure of doing work that has a more positive impact on the end user, and I also get the experience of building a customer support team from the ground up. Added bonus: I get to use my Spanish more too :)
