Learning And Development Manager

Produce training plans that meet the needs of learners and the business. L&D performs a rigorous needs gathering and assessment process before we prototype. We have used the following, often together: train-the-trainer; simulation and testing; VILT/ILT; off-the-shelf training; custom modules and courses; and accountability packages. Training effectiveness is evaluated using lead and lag measures tied to adoption and impact.Worked with the executive team to develop OE Federal’s roadmap for 2023 - 2025. L&D identified 3 key areas of opportunity: process improvement and training, just-in-time information, and management development, which have been adopted as defining objectives.Program manager for all roadmap learning initiatives. I collaborate with executive sponsors on identifying goals, new behaviors, and return on expectations, as well as timelines and deliverables. L&D always works with program sponsors to define how trainings directly support business goals, and as programs progress, we adjust based on evolving learner needs.Built an accountability program, beginning with the executive team. I convinced senior management that accountability was the best way to achieve lasting behavior change. I created a comprehensive learning plan to train managers on models and practices.Worked with the CEO to develop and implement an Employee Feedback Committee. I designed a focus-group approach to feedback to understand challenges faced by staff. I trained the committee to perform group interviews and worked with the chair on program implementation and health. The CEO makes strategic decisions based on Committee results.Managed vendor selection for Learning and Development. I implemented a vetting process that involves research, initial selection, testing, ranking, final selection, and price negotiation (when feasible). Over the past year we have implemented an LMS, 3rd party training provider, an authoring tool, and a help desk application.
