Work as pilot in command for single pilot IFR over water operations. Trained new pilots for part 135 operations after the county procured additional aircraft.

Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah Ga

Developed a training program for an aviation Battalion (+60 pilots) implement controls, supervise and evaluate. Responsible for all matters relating to aviation training with an emphasis on safety and enforcement of regulations and standards. Instrument Flight Examiner- trained pilots on Instrument tasks in the aircraft and simulator. Completed annual instrument evaluations for co-pilots, pilot in command and instructor pilots in accordance with publications and regulations. Managed a $13.6 million annual flight hour program. Developed a budget, set quarterly goals, published a plan and presented it to supervisor. Wrote and managed battalion flight schedule by receiving guidance from BN commander, coordinated with Maintenance Company for aircraft status, and S-3 (operations) for pilot availability. Plan was implemented resulting in the effective training of 60 pilots and utilization of 24 aircraft in the most efficient manner possible. Developed and maintained a robust no-notice evaluation program.

Trained and evaluated individuals and crews prior to and during deployments to Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) in Afghanistan. Training concentrated on high altitude (mountain) operations, weapons employment, tactics and procedures, and emergency/ upset training. Trained and evaluated emergency procedure, instrument flight evaluations, and crew resource management through ground, simulator and flight instruction.

Served as Administration Officer (S-1), intelligence Officer (S-2) and USGC Search and Rescue pilot. As S-1, supervised a staff of military and DOD federal employes (+10), responsible for all pay, travel, and administrative actions for USCG Group (+500 personnel). S-2, responsible for all security clearances, physical security, COMSEC for over 500 members of the unit, 13 small boat stations, a USCG Cutter, air facility and USCG air station. Search and rescue coordinator and pilot in command at busy Pacific Northwest air station. Fly off shore and conduct in-land search and rescue missions in all weather and mission profiles.

Instructor pilot for the AH-64A Aircraft Qualification Course. Completed daily briefings, taught ground academics, and flew training flights daily. Maintained student records, and ensured training was completed in accordance with approved training curriculum.
