Fast forward to the twenty-first century, people are still prepared to accept the familiar working-hour schedule because we have become so used to it.We want to eliminate this dated approach. We argue that productivity should not be measured by employee attendance but instead by the output of the work performed.It’s time to embrace flexible scheduling and pay software teams based on their actual performance rather than their perceived performance, and with that move away from the legacy concept of the eight-hour work day.At Committer, we are building the operating system for flexible software development work, products that let you work at your own pace, on your own terms.
