For almost twenty years, I served as a leader, direction-setter and administrator of people and systems in the non-profit sector. Setting people up to thrive and experience the life they were meant to live has been a driving force in every role I've occupied. I especially enjoy leveraging the resources, training and expertise I've received to benefit those who have not had the same access or opportunities. As I engaged with colleagues and friends in the nonprofit world, I was given many opportunities to coach those who needed help coming up with a budget, getting out of debt, investing their money, saving to buy a house and navigating other financial challenges. I really enjoyed seeing the fruit of those coaching opportunities! As a result of those experiences, I decided to opt for the other prong of the fork in the road and make a mid-career transition (not to be confused with a mid-life crisis ◡̈). I am now presently employed in the finance sector, collaborating with and gaining insights from two experienced CFP® professionals. My intention is to enhance my learning through hands-on experience and through my pursuit of CFP® certification, enabling me to better guide individuals and families to thrive through wise use and stewardship of their finances.
