The Caris Life Sciences’ IT Solutions organization is responsible for ensuring that all IT activities and deliverables adhere to defined IT standards for any software or systems change. The Solutions group defines IT standards, documents change requirements and quality assurance test planning, executes and documents quality assurance testing and results and ensures that all IT deliverables comply with the defined standards.As Advisor, IT Solutions, I was a leader and SME in an organization responsible for the definition of Caris Life Sciences’ IT standards and adherence to those standards through stakeholder and system requirements, the execution of quality assurance testing and conducting internal IT audits to ensure policy compliance.

The Caris Life Science’s Business Application Delivery organization is responsible for the design, development and implementation of systems and software to support Caris Life Sciences’ laboratory operations. The Application delivery team works closely with their business partners to understand business need, translates those needs into system design and delivers the designed solutions.I lead projects supporting IT and corporate strategic goals and managed an organization responsible for the elicitation of business requirement user stories, solution design and development, solution testing, deployment and production support. I was responsible for an organization comprised of software engineers, lead software engineers, software advisor and business analyst/project manager. I worked with IT leadership to define, implement and maintain software development life cycle and project management standards and policies to ensure application delivery activities meet regulatory standards.

The Caris Life Sciences' IT PMO was responsible for the management of IT projects in support of Caris strategic initiatives.As Project Manager III, I led multiple projects focused on business functions such as Laboratory operations, Registry services and Biorepository services. I was an advisor in the implementation of a new PMO that allowed the CIO to turn around an underperforming delivery mechanism, established a documentation repository for PM supporting documentation, tools, and templates and instituted a project governance management framework to provide consistency across all projects. I developed and implemented a project initiation process to prioritize resource allocation to ensure strategic alignment. I worked closely with internal business unit clients to translate their needs into IT actionable deliverables through project justification, scope documents, requirements, project schedules and all project related documentation.
