I am looking for opportunities where I can make a positive contribution to the management team of local City government. My focus has always been to exercise independent judgement and initiative in the performance of my job duties. I believe my experience and solid record of achievement make me an ideal candidate for higher-level, complex administrative/analytical positions in City government. I have over 20 years of professional municipal experience, with ten years of highly responsible duties in analytical research, implementing City policies and procedures, and governmental accounting. I thrive in an environment where I can learn about departmental operations, activities, and I look for opportunities to automate procedures to streamline and manage workflow. Recently, I received a Harvard Business School Online Certification in Leadership Principles. This program was designed to help individuals thrive as leaders, unleash the capabilities of others, and cultivate high-performing teams. I was inspired to pursue this certification after participating in the City’s intensive training in the High-Performance Organization (HPO) model of leadership. I have always provided direction, guidance, training, and support to department staff that seek my assistance. I am seeking a position where I can exercise a leadership role and direct supervision of staff if needed. Overall, throughout my career, management has consistently rated my work performance at the highest level exceeding my job requirements, being an outstanding employee and an asset to the City.
