As an administrative assistant, I developed and updated corporate documents and communicated using exceptional customer service skills while working under minimal supervision. I stored and retrieved documents in SharePoint, which included following corporate guidelines for records retention and storage.In this role I managed between 300 to 500 internal and external employees time, which included times they were on the phones, meetings, lunches, breaks, trainings and exams. While working within the administrative role, I had the opportunity to leverage soft-skills obtained from previous employment opportunities to create positive interdepartmental relationships. I interacted with corporate managers to gather information in ways to better execute time sensitive information across the company. I supported the department in virtual and on site training of co-workers by providing them with information and resources as part of the training procedure, and was available to answer any questions that occurred.

As an editor, I created ideas for the newsletter that was distributed throughout Eastern Illinois University and online, tailoring content to the medium in which it was released. Through this opportunity I delegated assignments to freelance writers, copy-edited submissions from both writers and photographers, produced articles when needed and designed and executed layout for each issue.I implemented a three-step process for the freelance writers and myself to execute each issue successfully; rough draft, second draft, and final edit.During this opportunity, I obtained a skill set in management, editing and open communication between writers and myself.
