Core High School Program Instructor
Current-Restructured curriculum for career readiness programs to reflect current job market trends and support students age 13-19 in navigating their job searches-Increased annual enrollment from 100 to 300 participants in one year by designing cohesive, informative recruitment materials-Expanded program incentives to include $100 stipend, Food Handler’s Card, and CPR certification to reward students with tangible tools-Facilitate the coordination, implementation, and daily oversight of a 12-week, afterschool career readiness programming for classes of 15 students in 4 local high schools-Provide students an exploration of career and education opportunities in Portland's prominent trades industries; IT, Healthcare, Manufacturing and Construction-Develop and maintain partner relationships with collaborating organizations, such as schools, businesses, and other community groups-Collect, manage, and report sensitive program data regarding program demographics and level of participation-Connect students with housing, utility, and transportation supports as needed in solidarity with Impact NW's mission of eliminating houselessness in Portland-Develop, implement, and manage volunteer opportunities for individuals to complete outside of structured and in-classroom events-Apply Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles and practices to all programming; focus on under-served communities, people who are Black, Indigenous, people of color, immigrants, or refugees
