Provide individual and/or family counseling to adolescents (ages 12-18) in the community that have been referred to this agency for services.Provide crisis counseling as needed for youth who have accessed Payne County Youth Shelter as a safe place.Responsible for facilitating assessments, diagnosing, creating appropriate goals and objectives, preparing and planning for sessions, billing (Medicaid clients only), and effectively communicating client information to therapy team when appropriate (e.g., case consultation and supervision).Served on the Payne County Systems of Care Review Board.Participated in fund raising and public relations activities (e.g., acquiring monetary and furniture donations to improve aesthetics of agency, development of PCYS annual art and poetry contest).Position beginning January 2008.Transitional Living Program (TLP) CounselorProvide counseling services to the residents of the Transitional Living Program, which is a program funded by the Department of Health and Human Services designed to reach out to homeless young men and women (ages 18-21) in effort to help them get back on their feet and become an asset to the community.Provide crisis counseling as needed for youth who have accessed Payne County Youth Shelter as a safe place.Responsible for facilitating assessments, diagnosing, creating appropriate goals and objectives, preparing and planning for sessions, billing (Medicaid clients only), and effectively communicating client information to therapy team when appropriate (e.g., case consultation and supervision).Position ended 12/2007 due to grant not being refunded.
