Responsible for strategy, operations, budgeting, and growth of Lilie, the academic center of curricular and co-curricular programming in entrepreneurship and innovation at Rice University. Focus to date has been on developing standard operating procedures and efficient processes that lay the groundwork for the program to scale.•Launched Founder Finder to connect students from disciplines across campus to form multidisciplinary entrepreneurship teams. •Launched Founders Dinners, a monthly engagement opportunity for entrepreneurially-minded Rice University students to build a network of peers and a community of support. •Launched the Rice Alumni | Entrepreneurs + Innovators network to strengthen engagement with Rice alumni that are active in entrepreneurship ecosystems globally. Innovation Advisors support private sector, government, university, and nonprofit clients to deploy new innovations, commercialize technology, conduct technology scouting, acquire technology-driven market intelligence, and establish internal innovation processes that result in growth opportunities for their business. • Led Market Insights & Business Planning for the Sanitation Technology Platform (STeP), a Gates Foundation funded effort to address the global sanitation crisis. Responsible for driving activities related to understanding the market landscape and commercial opportunity to introduce decentralized sanitation management and wastewater treatment systems in emerging and developing countries. This includes conducting user-centered research to understand and define the market opportunity, elucidating key insights, and communicating insights and actionable recommendations back to technical and commercial partners. Additional responsibility includes identifying and managing technical assistance partners and contractors.• Led the Signals & Voice team, which was responsible for developing the "voice" and brand of Innovation Advisors.• Developed and designed the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (KTTO) Curriculum for the $32M USAID STRIDE program. The custom curriculum trained faculty and administrators in select Philippine universities to launch a KTTO. The curriculum included technology assessment frameworks, business and partnership development strategies, and new venture formation. Four workshops were conducted in-country with the university delegates to complement the workbook.• Selected as one of three staff to pilot the RTI Global Rotation program. Spent three months in the Jakarta office understanding regional operations and exploring regional innovation ecosystems.• Selected to join the Creative Disruptors, a cross-Institute team focused on encouraging and supporting organization-wide innovation.

Teaching a module on Strategies for Shared Value in the Leading into the Future program and Business Models for Social Innovation in the Innovation & Social Entrepreneurship program.

• Launched the International Impact Investing Challenge (now the Morgan Stanley Sustainable Investing Challenge), which has engaged hundreds of graduate students from around the world in the design of financial vehicles for institutional impact investors. • Conducted research in collaboration with the U.S. Dept. of State on corporate social innovation.• Co-hosted the Impact Investing Summit in Chicago in 2011.• Developed the cross-university NUvention Innovate for Impact course, which blends user-centered design with the Lean Startup approach to address unmet needs in resource-limited settings, particularly in emerging markets. Over the 22 weeks of the course, the student work directly with local partners, including two weeks of field research, to identify opportunities and barriers for innovation. Potential solutions are conceptualize and prototyped to facilitate iterative learning. The course was oversubscribe each year it was offered.• Coached and mentored students in the entrepreneurial process to identify customer needs, assess technology, conduct market analysis, develop innovative solutions, test demand and incorporate and fund a venture resulting in the incorporation of numerous business ventures.• Established strategic partnerships with the public sector (e.g. U.S. Department of State, Federal Reserve), private sector (e.g. J.P.
