About Jean-Nicolas Poussart

For over 20 years, I have dedicated my career to push and advocate the environmental and social sustainability agendas in a wide range of settings, across several economic sectors and in all corners of the world.Major motivations for my work have always been to help advance the understanding and commitments towards more transparent and open data policies (access to information) to frame knowledge needed for integrated environmental assessments, form the basis for circular economies, gain wider engagement in environmental policy-related processes, and create impact on various societal challenges. Much of my earlier work has revolved around stakeholder relations and diplomacy - working for the United Nations and the European Union establishing partnerships, negotiating cooperation agreements and conducting/managing projects and capacity development actions with coalitions of partners and governments. Having worked at several international secretariats and coordinating units demonstrates my experience managing networks, stakeholders and client relations. With proven ability to manage project teams for national and international projects, I get inspired by fostering the sharing of knowledge among people and organisations and triggering the proper setting for good cooperation.Nowadays, I am back in the academic world – devoted to help develop relevant and attractive educational programmes and conditions for the new generation of changemakers passing through at Lund University. I have dual Canadian/Swedish citizenship.Never hesitate to get in touch!
