Tasked with leading credit system client migration.

Created technology vendor management function for Fiserv Card Services. Hired staff, developed procedures and reviewed entire technology portfolio. Successfully passed internal and external audits. Team saved Card Services over $2M annually. Personally negotiated large software purchase and developed unique pricing strategy which will create ongoing savings of over $1M annually.

Successfully migrated critical technology stack from a data center that required imminent closure without extension option. High-pressure project that could not miss timelines. Lead team that was able to accomplish program with 3 months to spare without impact to Fiserv.

Provided technology consulting for several organizations. Assignments included establishing an Agile PMO, reviewing procurement and vendor relation strategies and infrastructure review.

- Responsible for developing, planning, presenting and implementing Five-Year Technology Strategy, implementation of new data strategies, the refresh of infrastructure, and the negotiation and relocation of the secondary datacenter. - Provided senior leadership for team of technologists across application development, infrastructure, release management, architecture, and project management. . Developed and implement programs to ensure attainment of business plan for growth, profit, and enhanced branding. - Led maturation of both the enterprise risk function as well as having responsibility for all IT procurement. - Led several technology and operational improvement opportunities throughout my tenure, reducing our nightly error rate by 25%, increasing our throughput of data loads to meet aggressive client SLAs, and the redesign of our data strategy.- Created BCP program. Relocated secondary data center to enhance disaster recovery readiness. Planned and executed enterprise DR readiness. - Active member of senior leadership team. Involved in all aspects of the business, including strategic planning, M&A activity, direct Board interaction, personnel issues, and new client development.

· Establish goals, objectives, and all operational policies for entire IT department of a multi-billion dollar subsidiary of The Hartford. Manage and oversee daily work of five technology teams: Data Services, Application Development, Infrastructure, Business and Quality Analysis, and Project Management Office. Actively work with team leaders to attract, develop, and retain key personnel. - Accountable for the development, maintenance and support of 3 administrative platforms representing $34B of assets, and support of the entire HLPP application portfolio, which consists of approximately 30 applications. Ran day-to-day operations of department, including responsibility for nightly processing of client directed trades and reallocations, which frequently exceed $1B.- Active member of HLPP leadership team. Involved in all phases of sales cycle. - Led the development of long-term technology strategy for the organization, including application development / conversion strategy, data strategy, infrastructure improvements, and operational excellence. - Lead the HLPP Project Governance Team. Work proactively with business customers to develop and manage project portfolio. - Responsible for developing and managing an IT budget of $15M to meet the needs of the organization, while looking for ways to reduce costs. Reduced overall IT spend 18% from 2007 levels while maintaining SLAs. - Developed and maintain secure systems environment. Responsible for all audit and SOX signoff and adherence to compliance initiatives such as AML, Reg 22c2, and OFAC.· Initiated and developed HLPP’s Business Continuity Program, which became the model for other BCP development throughout The Hartford. - Collaborated with senior IT Leadership at Hartford Insurance Group. Fostered excellent relationships with peers and senior leaders at the enterprise level, and worked together to deliver enterprise initiatives, such as email conversion, secure FTP, and security programs.

· Acted as technical leader in organization. Owned enterprise architecture for HLPP, and was liaison to overall Hartford IT department. Senior technical resource to HLPP CIO.- Led development and implementation of client-facing report delivery system, which proved to be critical functionality for existing and prospective clients.- Member of team that implemented new rules-based platform to support high net worth line of business. Worked with vendor and internal resources to install necessary infrastructure and bring system online.- Worked on a project to “liberate” data stored in proprietary legacy application, and assisted with design and development of operational data store, data mart, and reporting frontend. Negotiated contracts with software vendors to drive long-term savings in maintenance fees.· Implemented backend storage network in order to reduce complexity and risk, and increase scalability, of legacy DASD configuration. SAN design became the backbone of our production network, and created a fault-tolerant, configurable, and growth-orientated solution still in use today
