I am a motivated Civil Engineering E.I. with a passion for beautiful cities that foster sustainability and equitability. I am currently employed as a Civil Analyst at Kimley-Horn in Raleigh, NC where I have had the opportunity to work on several transit engineering and planning projects, ranging from carrying out facility site selections and concept designs to writing transit development plans to drafting construction documents for Bus Rapid Transit lines and bus station facilities. I have also touched land development for several kinds of land uses such as single- and multi-family residential, commercial, and pharmaceutical. During my undergraduate at NC State, where I earned my Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, I worked as a research assistant. I reviewed literature pertaining to the socioeconomic impact of Bus Rapid Transit. I collaborated with a team to prepare a report on the socioeconomic impacts of different modes of mass transit to be used by the NCDOT. Working in an academic setting helped me develop my academic written communication skills as well as my organization and time management.For one semester, I studied at Valencia Polytechnic University in Spain where I took Civil Engineering and Urban Planning courses. After my time abroad, I was able to think about urban mobility and transportation in different contexts and improved my technical Spanish proficiency.
