Developing and implementing ERP Software based on Opensource systems to upgrade the technical and managerial capabilities of all actors within the Ethiopian leather sector.- Analyzing current systems and elicit requirements- Customizing an Open Source ERP modules to meet the requirements- Testing and implementing- Training, preparing manuals and on going coaching- Leading a team.

Responsible for developing in team an EMR(electronic medical record) system, other health and statistics related systems. The major tasks are analyzing requirements, customizing open source systems & developing additional modules. The modules I developed include:- Family Planning a software developed using C++ that runs on simputer(palmtop) named Geoamida with the backend database sqlite to collect data from remote sites. The software uses a custom framework namely alchemy based on C++. -Drug Control system a module part of the EMR that handles prescription, dispensation and store transaction of drugs. The system handles drug movement in and out of the store and manages the proper dispensation of drugs to patients at dispensaries. The system keeps track of drugs and displays appropriate warning for out of stock items, for pregnancy risk, allergies and so on. - Customizable reporting module that displays analytical and decision making reports using crystal report and other grids. The reports display aggregate data which can be drilled down to specific transactions. - HMIS & PHEM A statistical information gathering and analyzing systems. The system records different data from different kind of health institutions and aggregates at different level.

Responsible for developing Windows and web applications using C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net applications that interface with SQL Server Database and integrated with crystal reports. All the software’s developed are multi user and can function in client server or distributed environment. The list of Softwares developed are:- Pharmacy Management System for Pelican Pharmacy- Point of Sales for BGI and Technostyle- Web Based Transit Management System for Express Transit.- General Accounting and Farm costing(Activity Based Costing) for Castel Winery.- Attendance Management Integrated with Hand punch Biometric device. Currently used by Sheraton Addis, Hilton, National Motors, Miriam Hospital, BGI Ethiopia- Property and Material Request planning for National Defense project 4021.- Book Store Management system for Book World PLC- Ticket Management for Network Travel and Tour- Human Resource Management System currently used by BGI Ethiopia, National Motors, Moha Soft Drinks, Addis International catering, Castel Winery.- Inventory and Sales System which synchronizes with Peachtree software Currently used by Technostyle PLC, Berta Spare Part Elegant PLC, Mikies Fashion Planet.Other Duties and Responsibilities:- Preparing manuals and training customers for the software’s developed - Conducting Ongoing support for installed software’s including regular visit- As a project head responsibilities include: Coordinate programmers and testing teams, Keep track of schedules, Communicate with customers, Assure quality of the Software, Assist junior programmers
