Experience consist of working with families and adolescents in an acute care behavioral health hospital for 3 years, 2 years as a school based counselor, and 2 years in private practice. I am a graduate with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Columbia International University. My graduate internship was completed at Richland Two Family Intervention Services where I provided family and individual counseling services to families in the Richland 2 school district. My skills consist of an empathic family systems approach to therapy. I have experience with DBT, CBT, multigenerational, and solution focus models. My experience has provided me with the ability to assess crisis situations using assessments such as Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS), and Child and Adolescent Trauma Screen (CATS) to determine the most effect route of treatment. I am currently the sole proprietor of Hammond Counseling LLC in Columbia South Carolina.
