I coordinate the marketing strategy for the Choice Home Tutoring central business and franchises. This includes managing, maintaining and protecting the website and its SEO strategy, creating content across social media platforms & our blogs, and driving all aspect of on & offline marketing for franchises. I use a blend of organic growth and paid advertising (specialising in Facebook ads) to grow the businesses.

I am a freelance writer for the BBC Tiny Happy People campaign, TES, Teach Wire, Writers & Artists and I run my own education blog through my company, Choice Home Tutoring.

LITERACY SPECIALIST: I run targeted literacy interventions at Didsbury High School to build students literacy and oracy skills inside the classroom and beyond. The main interventions I run are Fresh Start, Guided Reading and Toe by ToeINTERVENTION & INCLUSION SPECIALIST: I provide targeted intervention and support to students who struggle to manage their behaviour and/or approach to learning in class. I work collaboratively with pastoral teams and external agencies across the Trust, to meet the needs of these students, whilst also mitigating the impact that they have on the learning and progress of others within the classroom environment.I provide in class, one to one and small group support to students, as well as additional off timetable time to work alongside staff, parents and students to ensure that the needs of students with behaviour difficulties and/or SEND are met.

I work with large groups of young people to build confidence and engage them with social action work. I coordinate with charity/ not for profit/ social action partners and young people to plan and deliver a project that will benefit the community. The skills young people learn from these projects are invaluable and helps to build bridges between different communities.

I helped set up The Alpha School, a place of learning for students who have been excluded. I tailored educational plans to individual students needs and prioritised their emotional and behavioural wellbeing as part of the course. I worked closely with families, teachers and social services to ensure there was a well rounded package of support for children in challenging circumstances.

My role is to research three new projects for BBC Learning to support lifelong learning outside of the national curriculum. I research, help deliver and promote content targeted at the 24- 30 age group with partnership campaigns, awareness building of life skills and representation of different pathways into a diverse range of careers.

STYLE: I was a journalist at Style etc. in Manchester - a Lifestyle magazine where I contributed pieces on fashion beauty, food and reviews of events. THIRD: I produced weekly copy for Third's blog on sleep and mental health.TSOTA: I joined TSOTA as a journalist; writing articles, features and events reviews on politics, culture and art.MODERNIST: I worked as Assistant Editor at The Modernist, a quarterly magazine specialising in architecture. I proof read the magazines, uploaded content to the website, and wrote articles. I designed a series of spreadsheets on excel, including a database of every topic that had been written on by the magazine and a list of all the members, so that an automatic reminder was sent when membership needed to be updated. I have worked with a variety of programmes in this job, including Squarespace, MailChimp, Mapbox and Excel.SPECTRUM: I helped found the podcast 'Spectrum' which looks at gender inequality and how it affects both men and women. I worked in a team of eleven and we write the scripts, questions, conduct the interviews, record and edit the podcast together.
