As an experienced chief executive officer (CEO), policy maker, political campaigner, non-executive board director, and qualified psychologist, I have delivered public policy outcomes that have increased the productivity of, and equitable access to, healthcare, education and early learning. For over a decade, I have operated at the frontline of Australian politics and have developed a comprehensive knowledge of the nuances of government decision-making and have built an extensive network of key actors. I have extensive experience with the dynamic interaction between politics, the public service, industry and civil society and how the quality of this interaction is critical to the successful implementation of policy reform and the delivery of public services.I am an effective leader and pride myself on finding common ground between stakeholders and decision makers to establish the strong foundations necessary to deliver positive outcomes for organisations and communities.I have highly developed communication skills through my experience over many years as a public commentator, contributing opinion pieces for a range of national media outlets including participating in live TV news interviews and as a subject matter expert on discussion panels.Over the last eight years, I have helped to build and lead Australia's prominent parent advocacy organisation The Parenthood. As a former CEO of this organisation and current board director, I have influenced government and corporate policy across early learning, paid parental leave and gender equality in the workplace.
