My responsibilities covered all of the systems and processes used within the Ashgate group. The purpose of this was to help us share knowledge and best practice in our aim to become increasingly effective and efficient, using IT as a business tool to deliver improved profitability. A major aspect of my work in the last year or so was the in-house development of an ONIX tool to provide customers with bibliographic metadata.

As Editorial and Production Director I was instrumental in transforming the way in which Ashgate produced books, leading to increased productivity, tighter schedule control and reduced costs.

During this period I continued to commission and develop professional books, but this time for the business and management market.
