Jo is a qualified Integrative Children and Young People’s Counsellor from Melton Mowbray.I hold an MSc in Counselling Children and Young People from The University of Northampton and am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).Butterfly room therapy offers one to one counselling for children and young people aged 5-24 years of age.Jo delivers one to one, face to face, online or telephone counselling to clients experiencing a range of mental health difficulties related to trauma, domestic abuse, emotional distress, stress, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, childhood abuse, grief, lack of confidence and those who self-harm and/or have suicidal thoughts/feelings.Jo uses a Person-Centred Approach alongside a variety of therapeutic interventions, such as Systemic, Creative, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Play Based Therapy, Lego Build to Express and Drawing & Talking Therapy, in order to bring about positive change in children and young people.Jo at Butterfly Room Therapy offers a confidential, safe, non-judgemental, and empathic environment in which children and young people can share and explore challenges that they are experiencing, allowing them to grow and move forward in a positive way 🦋
