She is the current president of the International Museum Theatre Alliance (Asia Pacific), a role that has included being a conference convenor, coordinating and presenting at museum theatre professional learning events for the Australian Museums and Galleries Association (AMaGA), and managing special projects for the IMTALAP commitee. She holds a PhD with a focus on Museum Theatre from the University of Melbourne. Jo is also an award-winning professional close-up magician with sixteen years of performance experience.
