I am one of the founding directors of Boxkite, an engineering company aiming to enable higher volumes of better wind farms to be developed across the world. We provide an online analysis system capable of producing accurate wind energy yield analysis results in minutes, not weeks. Our system can be used at all stages in the life-cycle of a wind farm. We also offer a wind energy consultancy service.I have over 20 years of experience of working in engineering consultancies and large organisations. Previous roles include: Employer of Choice Lead (Frazer-Nash) - I led a business change team, with the ultimate aim of helping the company becoming a Great Place to Work. The initiative had the joint challenge of improving the employees' engagement, happiness and wellbeing at work, as well as contributing to improving the overall business performance.Major Pursuits Lead (Frazer-Nash) - I established and led a team responsible for changing the way we respond to large opportunities (£1m+), significantly improving our rate of winning large contracts. As well as developing new processes, and developing and delivering new training, this also involved working with senior management across the business, giving a broad understanding of how different parts of the business operate in multiple markets and technical areas. Fluid Dynamics Group Leader (Frazer-Nash) - I was the manager of a group of Fluids engineers. I had overall responsibility for the team delivering technical work to client satisfaction, whilst meeting the group business targets. This also involved building and maintaining a well functioning team, encouraging individuals with their personal development and developing new technical capability and work-streams for the group. Account Manager (Frazer-Nash) - I was the key account holder for various clients, ensuring that we were delivering work across various technical disciplines to a high standard, and liaising with internal resource managers to provide the appropriate level of support.Fluid Dynamics Senior Consultant (and various other technical roles, Frazer-Nash) - I developed and held client relationships, delivering high quality technical work to client satisfaction.Product Engineer (Asymptote Ltd) - I was a product development engineer working on new and innovative cryogenic products and processes.
