I am contracted to Trinity Metals, Rwanda, to provide support in improving the Group's performance in ESG. I work closely, with their Sustainability Manager and spend a large portion of my time on site in Rwanda at Trinity's three mines. Employed as a senior EAP with “J&G” for a four-year period. Jo was made an associate prior to her departure to start her own business in September 2002. During her employment with the company she undertook and project managed a number of large Impact Assessments for developments throughout the Eastern and Northern Cape Provinces and further afield in Mozambique, Namibia, Botswana and Tanzania.

• Appointed by DEAT to conduct an Initial Environmental Evaluation (IEE) of the decommissioning of abandoned South African research bases and installations in Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica. • Appointed on a 6-month contract to conduct an environmental audit of South Africa’s activities in Antarctica. This including reviewing the existing Environmental, Health and Safety Management System and Waste Management Programme established for South Africa’s National Antarctic Programme.

Initiated an Environmental Management System (EMS) based on the ISO 14001 standard for Namdeb’s marine and terrestrial mining and prospecting operations in Namibia. Compiled Environmental Management Programme Reports (EMPRs) for Namdeb’s mining and prospecting license areas. Established and maintained a number of long-term monitoring programmes with the assistance of specialist teams based in Namibia and South Africa.
