I wear many hats: academic, board member, advocate, and community organizer are just a few. Wherever I find myself, I have only one goal - strive for excellence. As an academic, I am currently engaged in learning about and researching relations between French and Arabic cultures through the lens of communications and media. Currently I am a McNair Scholar at Colorado State University and a student of the College of Liberal Arts. I am the VP of the First Generation Inatative within my college, an officer Le Circle Français, and participate in organizations like The Collegian, The ALVS, among others. As I graduate from CSU, I will move on to obtain my Ph.D. in French/Arabic Communications and Cultures.As an advocate and public speaker I have a strong history in service to my community through organization of non-profit efforts, community advocacy, and one-on-one mentoring. Currently I still work with a variety of organizations presenting on disability issues within the state of Colorado. I have led workshops and presentations at the NoCoWyo Youth Diversity Forum in the mattes of ableism and disability advocacy, and I still currently sit on the Fort Collins Transit Riders Union working to improve local transit within the community.As a professional I have been involved in, and am still involved in, positions that require careful, thoughtful, and strategic leadership to navigate to the best possible outcomes. In the past I have created programming for non-profits, managed programs successfully through the COVID-19 pandemic, and created diverse and unique teams that have shown optimal growth and output. Most recently I have found myself on the board of directors for Provanity Cosmetics, a local start-up venture that aims to change the face of the makeup industry. While my history might seem complex, my wealth of experience gives me an excellent foundation for all my endeavors.
