Jo was previously at BBC Worldwide for 16 years, working in the commercial division of the organisation, ultimately she was the Director Marketing Sales Director for BBC Magazines.Joining BBC Worldwide in 1992 she was promoted several times before taking on a group role. Working in Direct Marketing advertising since 1996, throughout this time she was developing & growing Insert revenue across the BBC Magazines portfolio. Responsible for setting up a centralised inserts sales team for the whole of BBC Magazines. Post BBC she joined the disruptive start-up, Blyk, an advertising funded mobile network for 16-24 year olds, as Head of Direct Marketing she focused on client & agency sales. Moving on to Velti, the world’s largest Mobile Marketing company she worked with brands such as Unilever, P&G and Coca Cola. She headed up the Business Development unit at Traction Digital, a relationship marketing platform, where she was responsible for sales & marketing of the business in the UK & Europe. Prior to continuing her career in India, at ICLP, a specialist loyalty agency, headquartered in London, as Business Development Director she continued to focus on strategic & tactical development of ICLP & its clients in the UK and India. She has been involved with the UK Direct Marketing Association for over 15 years, she holds a Diploma in Direct Marketing. Jo joined the DMA Mobile and Connected Marketing Council in 2008 and held the role of Vice Chair and chair of the Communications Hub.
