Reporting to the Chief Executive and working with the Accounts Manager, I am responsible for developing the Management Information System and driving improvements across the accounting function.

Day-to day financial mangement including practical book-keeping, VAT, payments and credit control. I prepare monthly management accounts and liaise with external accountants on year-end figures. Ad-hoc projects include provision of documentation for raising new funds and valuation of stock.

Responsible for a team of analysts, largely comprising qualified Chartered Accountants, focusing on the global real estate and construction markets. Provided corporate financial analysis in support of the Bank's global lending propositions, covering simple bi-lateral facilities to more structured products, principally for general corporate purposes, acquisitions or debt/ corporate restructuring. Used bespoke financial models to provide financial forecasts and model sensitivity of covenant structures. Managed the portfolio through the consolidation of the building materials industry, assessing a number of substantial acquisitions including Cemex's acquisition of RMC and Saint Gobain's acquisition of Jewson. Portfolio was globally spread including such clients as British Land, Ferrovial, Vinci and Westfield.

Provision of counterparty financial analysis to assist the Bank in its corporate lending decisions. Focus on business and financial risks using appropriate financial modelling. A written report including an assessment of these risks, the impact of the proposed debt structure and sensitivity of any financial covenants was included in the submission presented to the Bank's Credit Committee.

Auditor specialising in shipping and logistics. Qualified as an ACA in 1996.
