About Jo Harris

Jo Harris is an imaginative and driven performer, producing her own work under the Trumpet Shall Sound banner. Collaborating with leading chamber musicians, and funded by Arts Council England, Jo has launched a series of music videos and live shows that showcase unheard music for trumpet. A founding member of Bella Tromba, she has led this pioneering brass ensemble to international recognition. Bella Tromba are UK Making Music Recommended Artists for 2021. They have toured Europe and Canada, broadcast live for BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM, and delivered educational workshops for the Royal Opera House.Jo has performed repertoire bridging Bach to Birtwistle for Britten Sinfonia, Gabrielli Players, London Mozart Players, Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique and Welsh National Opera. She plays trumpets of all shapes and sizes including piccolo, fanfare, cornet and natural trumpet. Her studio work includes numerous recordings and broadcasts for the BBC, Hyperion and Universal Studios.Jo is both a Van Laar Trumpet Artist and a Denis Wick Artist.
