I have worked for the past sixteen years as a Battlefield Guide and have been a member of the International Guild of Battlefield Guides for the same amount of time. I achieved Badged Status in 2010. Having spent three very happy years working for Anglia Tours I decided to go entirely freelance and now work for a number of battlefield tour operators specialising predominantly WW1 WW2 and in ANZAC tours to the Western Front and Gallipoli. I also work for In the Footsteps delivering small bespoke tours and for Galloway Battlefield tours predominantly working with schools and collegesI obtained a Masters Degree in FWW studies in 2018 via the University of Wolverhampton under the tutelage of Professor Gary Sheffield.I have also worked with Battlefield History TV as a presenter on their project to study Operation Market Garden made famous by the film A Bridge Too Far and appeared as a Historian on Channel 5’s Secret History of World War 2. I also undertake private tours working with military and civilian groups. I have also worked as a legal PA for the past twenty five years and therefore have strong organisational/event management and administrative skills.
