I am compelled to give excellent customer service, I expect it when I shop, go to a restaurant or go on Holiday so why wouldn't I offer it to my customers? Nothing shoud be too much trouble, a customers request should never be met with " I can't do that" or "It's not possible to do that" even if the request is difficult or even impossible ,I try to never respond negativly. By asking the right questions and finding out exactly what the customer needs and why, you will generally find you can meet their needs; even when at first it may have seemed a tall order. I particularly enjoy complaint resolution, I enjoy finding the answers when things go wrong. The way a complaint is handled is very important to building and maintaining good customer relations . To be able to turn things around and make things right and ensure retaining the client for future business is the very best of customer service.I currently work as an Account manager within the renewables sector and have to have a high level of technical product knowledge, I enjoy learning about new products and advising customers regarding the most suitable product for their project. I deal with the customer from first point of enquiry and see their journey through to the design stage of their purchase, although at this point they are looked after by other departments I am always available as a point of contact until their purchase is complete and delivered and even post delivery. I am able to develop trusting relationships with my clients and often I am involved in their project for months or even years! Being there when they have technical questions and helping to solve project specific issues. I believe with a great product and close team around you it is possible to offer excellent customer service which in turn leads to success within a sales environment. I have around 30 years customer service experience the majority of this has also been sales orientated.
