Merchandising Team Leader
CurrentJoining eXPD8 in 2006 as a merchandiser, I was able to progress to the role of team leader in 2010.As team leader my role is to provide effective management of my team, interviewing potential new members of staff, organize rotas including: holiday, sickness, training and time keeping. To ensure that each member of my team has adequate training, understanding and managing new contacts, induct new starters and ensure that all of the equipment such as tablets, PDA’s and computer system were used correctly by staff.I have completed refits in Sainsbury's on the Entertainment Department in various store across Essex and recently assisted in a refit for Yankee Candles I have to carry out audits both online and in store for the district and region, reporting any issues direct to the regional manager via Excel spread sheets. This is to ensure improvement and to keep a consistent level of service. I am able to problem solve, this includes providing support for the district as well as emergency support for challenging areas of the region eg due to sickness or non-compliance.Working to daily targets and deadlines is a fundamental part of my role, as well as motivating my team through effective management allowing them to meet set deadlines.When completing a store refit I am able to project manage through the stages of: planning, implementing, managing/supporting and final delivery to the high standards set out by the contracted company. Merchandising visual displays, following client briefs, stock counts, ordering, compliance through POS and display.
