Started career with the Samtel Group of Companies as a Graduate Engineer Trainee. Worked as Engineer in Electronic Lab at Samtel India Limited, one of the picturetube manufacturing plants of Samtel. Carried out preventive and breakdown maintenance of production and test equipment, leading a team of supervisors and technicians. Undertook various process improvement and equipment upgrade projects for quality improvement, cycle-time reduction and cost reduction. Strengthened quality initiatives and participatory forums such as Quality Circles.Was a founding team member of the Corporate Training Group (a team of engineers with shopfloor experience), involved in co-designing and facilitating a series of competency development initiatives across Samtel Group companies.
