A Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editors and Proofreaders (CIEP), I have nearly 30 years’ experience as an editor and project manager in educational publishing. I work on a wide range of print and multimedia resources for students and teachers in a variety of subjects, from primary level up to BTEC and A Level. I have also worked on self-teaching titles and have been the regular editor of two quarterly magazines.My role as an editor can include rewriting and development/structural editing, copyediting, proofreading and Alpha and Beta testing of digital products (I work on a Mac). I have a particular interest in English language and literature (primary and secondary), primary maths and PSHE/Citizenship.My role as a project manager can include creating and implementing schedules, monitoring budgets, liaising with authors, designers and software developers, illustrators, editors and proofreaders. I have worked as a development editor mentor, training development editors both in the UK and overseas.I have completed the CIEP courses 'Introduction to Fiction Editing' and 'Non-Fiction Development Editing'.
