From a background in graphic design I returned to art college and studied textiles. Drawing on digital and photography skills I explore new concepts for digital textiles, exploring craft alongside digital technologies. I created Urban Chintz label for contemporary printed luxury textiles inspired by the urban environment, reflecting and enhancing contemporary life. Textiles for people who are design orientated and want to move away from the main stream. Using quality natural materials and the latest technology, each piece has a place and story and intended to be treasured. Designed and handmade in the UKAlongside this I teach "low tec" textile print with adults and children. Recently collaborating with a musician developing an innovative approach to teaching with "Mosaic of Sound and Vision".My objectives are always the same to create innovate work that is accessible and of the highest standard.
