In 1999 Jo became Head of Development for United Productions children’s department where she co-devised the innovative game show ‘Pet Swap’, devised and executive produced a revamped series of ‘Havakazoo’ and script edited ‘Teddybears’, ‘The Wombles’ and 195 episodes of ‘Dog and Duck’

In 1997 Jo joined Carlton as a Development Producer specialising in animation and working on the award winning series ‘Grizzly Tales For Gruesome Kids’, ‘Timbuctoo’, ‘Lost In The Snow’ and the pre-school Henson puppet show ‘Mopatops Shop’. Jo also script edited many dramas including: Bernards Watch, Wizziwig and Polterguest.

Jo worked as a freelancer on award winning shows such as ‘Art Attack’, 'Art Attack International', 'Movies, Games and Videos', 'Baby It's You', ‘Smart’ and ‘Get Your Own Back’.

Jo started her career as a primary school teacher in London which has given her a fantastic foundation for her work in children’s television.
