My current role is business development for one of the leading structural fire protection consultancies, who are striving to help main contractors to ensure buildings are compliant, particularly in relation to intumescent coating application, encasement boarding and fire-stopping installations.We are NOT an installer or a product manufacturer nor are we affiliated to any.We offer specialist INDEPENDENT advice regarding the intumescent specifications, SPECIFIC to YOUR PROJECT, as well as being able to carry out installation inspections to ensure the installations are carried out correctly.We survey failed systems and older systems as part of refurbishment projects to provide background information on reasons for failure, best courses of action and to aid in dispute resolution. We also carry out estimation/take-off services to help contractors and main contractors understand the work and material quantity (and thus cost) so that bids can be assessed meaningfully.We want to prevent loss of life by helping to ensure complaint fire protection systems are installed on every construction project in the UK.
