Jo Luehmann (she/they) is a Colombian-born writer, entrepreneur, and non-profit consultant committed to advancing equity, justice, and spiritual healing. Jo has worked with non-profits, primarily strategizing about fundraising and economic sustainability that is anti-bias and anti-racist. With a decade of experience as an ordained pastor, Jo encountered personal and systemic harm within the evangelical church, prompting resigning. Co-founding the Living Room, Jo focuses on reclaiming education, spirituality, and theology for wholeness, healing, and liberation. Joining Home Studios in 2021, Jo contributes to producing impactful documentaries featuring stories from marginalized communities. The team's inaugural feature film, "Bad Things Happen In Philadelphia," was released in the fall of 2023. Jo’s forthcoming book, tentatively titled "Predatory God: How Toxic Theology Grooms Us To Tolerate Abuse," will be published by St. Martin’s Press in the summer of 2025. Currently, Jo serves as the Senior Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Union Theological Seminary while raising her four children between New Jersey and New York City. Jo holds a MA in ministry from Point Loma Nazarene University
