I am a born Namibian, based in Windhoek, Namibia.I graduated from the University of Namibia (UNAM), majoring in English and Afrikaans/Dutch. I was born in March 1966.I have more than 30 years' experience in the media, ranging from public relations to newspapers, radio and television.The bulk of my career I spent at newspapers. For the past 20 years, I have been specialising in economics, financial and business reporting.I am currently employed at Namibia Media Holdings (NMH), the biggest privately-owned media group in Namibia. Here I am the editor of Market Watch, the daily financial section of Namibian Sun (English daily), Republikein (Afrikaans daily) and Allgemeine Zeitung (German daily). I am also the editor of Business7, a weekly in-depth NMH publication focusing on economic, financial and business developments in Namibia. I host a weekly Business7 television programme on NTV on DStv and GOtv.On the Patterson scale, my current position is rated a D2. I also serve on the exco of NMH.My skills include: data analysis, financial report analysis, budget analysis, indices analysis and stock market analysis. I use this to write in-depth reports, compile infographics and conduct news interviews.Furthermore, I am skilled in translating from English to Afrikaans and vice versa. I am also experienced in editing articles.
