I am a full time senior teacher of Art & Design at the Sybil Elgar School in Southall, London. Sybil Elgar is an NAS ( National Autistic Society) School. An outstanding specialist school for autistic children and young people aged 4 ½ to 22 years old. It has over 50 years experience in providing a holistic and personalised education within a caring and safe environment. The creative approach and performing arts specialism helps every autistic child to learn and develop. It is an ArtsMark (Silver) School with an international reputation for innovation and a progressive approach to education.

At the Design Museum I am employed as a Freelance Educator. On average I work for them once a month, leading workshops for primary and secondary School groups visiting the Museum.

I was employed to teach children with SEN who visited the museum, however I taught not only these children but a wide range of 'able bodied' children from primary, secondary, FE and those home tutored. The children would visit the current exhibition ( with my guidance). They would then participate in a 'design' workshop in the Education Centre, within the museum. I have recently been reemployed by the new Design Museum, and am on their Education freelance team,

I am currently a Lead Subject Art Specialist at Oaklands School, Isleworth. I teach art and design to these children ( aged 11-18) with Special Needs. These needs range from Autism, Down Syndrome to children with severe challenging behaiour and children in wheelchairs. I am also a practising artist.
