I am an exceptionally motivated Civil Engineer who has developed sound skills and experience in a wide range of engineering projects in water engineering and urban development, in particular, hydraulic and hydrological modelling and design of new and existing water systems. I have also gained a range of experience in civil infrastructure design, documentation and contract administration from small to large multi-disciplinary projects.I joined Tonkin Consulting in 2010 as a Project Engineer and key team member in the delivery of projects as part of the Stormwater Team in the Adelaide office. For the past five years I have been based in Darwin as the NT program manager for Tonkin Consulting prior to transferring to the role of QLD Program Manager. At Tonkin I have led the preparation of numerous technical studies including floodplain mapping, water quality modelling, site contamination, water harvesting and aquifer storage and reuse. I have also been a key contact throughout the consultation process, where projects have required significant consultation with a range of stakeholders.I also have the role of Industry Sector Leader for Water within Tonkin Consulting. This role focuses on business development within the water sector. I was recognised as an emerging leader in the industry in 2012 by the Institute of Public Works Engineers and was awarded the ‘Emerging Leader Award for Individual Commitment to Local Excellence in Public Works’. I contribute to the industry through committed involvement in a number of engineering associations and professional groups. I am passionate about community issues relating to sustainable development and environmentally sensitive design practices. As the former South Australia local projects champion of Engineers Without Borders, my role was organising industry volunteers to help with local developing communities through the Australian Refugee Association.
