As a member of the Marketing and Communications Team, I am responsible and accountable for:• Providing expert marketing communications support to the Council, contributing to professional, effective communications, promotions, and engagement with the Council’s communities and stakeholders.• Developing and implementing marketing and communications plans and campaigns for Council facilities and services• Maintaining operational relationships with Council departments and facilities to support and advise on communication and marketing activities• Working as part of a shared service marketing and communications team to deliver integrated communications, engagement and marketing support across all Council functions

I work on the planning, development, execution, implementation, and reporting of brand and tactical campaigns across the university. I work closely with our in-house design team, and with external suppliers. Our aim with all our collateral, communication pieces, and campaigns is to attract students with engaging messaging and compelling testimonials.• Central contact point for all UC staff with marketing, web or design needs. • Coordination and project management of jobs throughout the concept and design process.• Brand management and development - managing concept development, allocation of resources and budget.• Implementation of marketing strategy.

12 month secondment.I led the team responsible for the production of the university's recruitment publications. This involved content creation, editing and design work using InDesign and XMetal. Copywriting, coordination, project management and support for units across the university.In the 12 months I covered the role, I was charged with the creation of a completely new suite of publications to complement our Undergraduate Prospectus, a publication for each faculty which went into detail about the course offerings and gave prospective students an overview of what they could expect in their studies.

• Implementation of internal brand strategies and communication, both written and electronic- Co-ordinating production of staff newsletter including sourcing content, writing articles, editing supplied content, taking photographs where required. Also arranging printing and distribution.- Assisting with company intranet when required; writing and publishing content and taking/sourcing images- Working with colleagues in other departments on internal publications where required including copywriting, editing and development of ideas.• Maintenance and development of an internal recognition and reward programme.- Day to day running and administration of programme including sourcing and distributing staff rewards and maintaining records.- Related communication to staff and key stakeholders.- Organisation and event management of judging and awards.• Supporting Internal Communications Manager with tasks relating to the development, production and launch of internal brand, internal presentations and other company-wide initiatives and launches.

December 2003 to December 2005 – Customer Service Representative• Worked in the call-centre completing both inbound and outbound calling.• Point of contact for new and existing subscribers and retailers.• Account and delivery queries, setting up new subscriptions and credit control when required.• Administration to maintain subscriber records.January 2006 to June 2008 – Subscriber Marketing Co-ordinator & Subscriber Administrator• Concentration on subscriber marketing• Business development• Responsible for establishing campaigns to grow and maintain the subscriber base of the newspaper. • Project management for acquisition promotions.• Initial concepts, execution, follow-up and post-analysis of promotions.• Client liaison, campaign and creative briefs. • Proof-reading, editing, copy-writing.
